finished!

I finished crocheting a whole sweater. I suppose you can figure out who the headless model is. ;-) I started out with 4 skeins of this blue yarn and a knitting pattern. It became evident early on that my knitting version wasn't going so well. I think it was going to be a really huge sweater (...reminiscent of the huge hat/tiny hat fiasco!) so I frogged it (unwove all I had done) and started over with a different pattern. Which happened to be crochet instead of knit. And I had to buy another skein to finish the last sleeve. That's a lotta yarn!

The body of the sweater is straight, slim-fitting. Once I lose these extra few pounds I gained this summer, it will be great. *grumble grumble* The sleeves are kinda big, loose. And the sleeves are very long. Maybe it is supposed to be a men's sweater? I don't care. I can roll up the sleeves and I'll be very happy wearing my own creation.

The purse/bag is coming along well. I cannot wait to finish this, as I really could use this purse this fall. So I'm knitting away on it with almost every free minute. Got many, many rows done over this long weekend (plus a coffee shop chat/girl's night out last Thursday). I am very excited about this purse!! Pics will follow when it is done as well. Uh, but I realized this morning that I am only about 1/5th done with it. So, I will try to keep my excitement up and keep plugging away.
