mellow

it's been a very mellow day at my office today. i'm thankful. and i'm wondering why. is it the calm before some sort of storm? heaven only knows. i got a lot done today, without feeling stressed (well, not too much stress... payday morning is always a little bit of stress).

i'm wearing a new shirt that i just love love love! the color is called "bark", which is a greyish brown, and it has light blue stitching trim, and it is just so soft. long sleeves. perfect for fall. love it.

my little ipod was keeping me company this afternoon. nice mellow music. john hiatt, phil wickham, the lost dogs. then appeared gus gus (pronounced "goose goose") which is an icelandic techno kinda thang, and that added a little spark to the day.

my boy scout nephew is selling popcorn right now (if you want some popcorn or if you want to support a good youth organization, let me know and i'll hook ya up). i definitely need to order some. i could totally go for a bowl of hot, salty popcorn right now. with a video. snuggled on the sofa. sharing with P. under a blanket. but alas, i have places to go, people to see, things to do.
