It Might Get Loud
This is a fun documentary of the electric guitar. I enjoyed it very much. It focuses on Jimmy Page, The Edge, and Jack White. It may have been slightly better to do one flick focusing on the more accomplished musicians (like Jimmy & Edge) and a separate flick on creative up-and-comers (like Jack). Nevertheless, there's a little something for everyone. Plus, the Edge is just so adorable.
The Namesake
This is a sweet movie about the dynamics of family. I especially loved watching the relationship between Ashima and Ashoke (the namesake's parents), although the focus of the movie was their son Gogol and his struggles with his family, his heritage, & his name. Gogol does some romping around (a warning if one is offended by that) when he comes of age. Overall a very nice movie, that will make you laugh and make you cry and make you think and make you want to hug your Dad and tell him how much you love him. Lessons often learned too late.
