mr librarian

Look at him, all relaxed on the sofa in this picture... This is Rochester's newest librarian! He finally has a library job. I'm so happy for him. I know it will be a huge transition. Life is full of change and change can be really hard. Personally, I like challenges but in manageable doses, so that I don't feel like I'm drowning. But usually we don't get a choice; we just have to jump in the chaos and do our best. It is a huge transition, but also a huge opportunity! And I definitely see some "God things" in how this all worked out and even in the specific school that hired him.

So, he'll be in school this fall (eek!! next week!) teaching the little ones everything they ever wanted to know about books and I will be in school learning more accounting.

I'll also be dealing with challenges and changes at my workplace. I'll definitely need my running and knitting to keep me sane. And of course, I lean on God for his strength and his faithfulness. And I will try to be a supporter and provide a peaceful home for my honey as he deals with workplace changes.

Just because I can... here are 2 of my favorite verses.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 31:6

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
I Peter 3:9
