I keep hearing how you're NOT supposed to wear flip-flops to work. I love my flip-flops, but since I am a professional (at least in title), I get convicted every time I hear this on a news report or read it in a magazine.

I am not a fashionista. I wear what's comfortable. I wear what I like. Even though I have a "professional job", I only interact with the public on the phone. No one sees my feet. Except my boss & coworkers. Occasionally. And our office dress is casual.

Why are flip-flops treated like they're of the debil? They're just shoes. Minimalist shoes. Aren't they? Dare I ask why sneakers aren't condemned as well?

So, today I wore other shoes. Something like this, but with a heel strap too. Is that more professional? more acceptable? Please say yes.
