Sunday I did more homework, even got a little bit ahead of the game. After going to church. And Sunday also included some knitting and another hour at the Park Ave fest to see Paul's friend Suzi's band play. I had the worst headache this time we were at the fest, so I didn't enjoy it as much, and the headache dissipated when we walked back to the car. Not sure what that was all about.
What I really want to talk about is the knitting! I've been doing some little projects, here and there, between school & work & home responsibilities. One of my projects is a yellow, summery, happy shrug to wear with the sundress that I want to wear to the wedding coming up this Saturday. Deadline! Gotta get this baby finished! I finished the main body of the shrug a couple weeks ago. Sunday I sewed up the sleeve parts and started on the trim. You might wonder what a shrug is. It's kinda like a shawl to wrap around the shoulders, but it has arm holes. But it's not a sweater that goes all the way around the body. No buttons. Just around the shoulders. Here.

This is the pattern I'm using. I finished the trim on one sleeve, and I need to do the other sleeve and the front/neck area trim. I get a lot of free patterns at Ravelry, and lots of pointers, too, if you run into problems. It's great resource for knitters & crocheters.
I'm so excited that this project is almost finished. And I'm glad that my class is almost finished. And I'm glad that my degree is almost finished, although I may be continuing on. To be determined...
I'm also working on scarf & fingerless gloves for winter. I might try a hat pattern again... last time was a disaster, but I have more skills now, so it might work. And then I want to start on some little Christmas presents for nieces & nephews.
