today

Outside my window... I see the snow and I can just imagine how cold it is. I'm thankful to be inside right now.

I am thinking... about my honey driving to Buffalo today. I hope he gets home safely.

I am thankful that... I have a body capable to shovel snow and take care of our house... that I have a rich life with a wonderful husband... that I have a future and a hope in Christ Jesus.

From the kitchen... the kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in our house. It is bright, and when I am baking it is relatively warm. From the kitchen come the cookies!

I am wearing... a wool sweater over 2 shirts, jeans but no long john pants. That is probably where I went wrong.

I am creating... nothing much at the moment. But I have been thinking about ways to make our home more homey.

I am going... to my WW meeting after work. I have been on program very well this week. I tracked everything. I exercised 3x and shovelled snow most days. It should show results and I hope I can keep going strong.

I am reading... in 2 Samuel. I don't fully understand God's method of operation for that era. His grace (now) is much more comprehensible to me.

I am hoping... to do well in school this semester, and hoping for sweet P to get a job soon, although if he is in school for a year without a job that will be ok, but I know he would like to have a job.

Around the house... around the outside are planted many bulbs. I love the spring flowers! I know we have a lot of winter left, but I look forward to my tulips & daffodils.

One of my favorite things... to do is snuggle on the sofa with my honey. I'm trying to finish a knitting project and he has a tendency to come over and lean on me while I'm trying to knit. Then I'm very torn. Do I say something and keep knitting? or do I put the knitting away and cuddle? I usually opt for a warm cuddle.

A picture to share... ladies jacketsThis is from a missionary trip to Moncon, New Brunswick. Either before the VBS camp or afterward, the girls spent an afternoon doing girly things. In this picture we were at a thrift store playing dress up with the fancy clothes. This was before I started taking my weight problem seriously. Not my highest weight, but not a very good weight.
