today started so long ago

I got up this morning for a 2.8 mile run. I was aiming for 2.5 and I overshot a bit. No wonder I felt so tired as I was heading back up the river toward home. This is good, though, as I have missed some of the scheduled runs on my training plan due to sickness & back ache. At least I am not losing ground. Pressing onward!

It was a foggy morning, and the dew really made the spider webs on the bridges look beautiful. I would have liked to take a picture, but I really can't do that on my runs. Photo ops are for walks. Runs are for runs. Let this be a lesson to you to get out there in the early mornings to take in the amazing sights. Our Creator is so creative.

I spent the day at the Arthritis Foundation. Helping. Doing whatever they needed me to do in preparation for the marathon on Sunday. I volunteer at this every year. I enjoy doing something for my community. I think the marathon running through and around my city is inspirational to passers-by who may need some motivation to get more active. It brings tourists to the city. The funds enable research on arthritis prevention, medication, cures, etc. So many people are affected by this disease. It's a good cause. It was a tiring, good day. Contact me if you'd like to help on Sunday at the big event!

But that's not all! School started. Yesterday was probably the most discombobulated first class I've ever had. I'll probably write more about that teacher later. (I can only imagine...) Tonight was Marketing 101, and I was aggravated to learn that they changed to the newer edition of the text, so my book is wrong. Plus, I need to buy some web access thing for doing homework assignments. The teacher of this class is kinda hyper. But not disorganized. I think we'll get along ok.

Tomorrow, back to my regular job. I've decided that my goal is to outlast the current difficulties. There will always be difficult people and easy people. Ups and downs. As long as my sweet P finds a job around town here, I'll still be there, trying to make the world a better place. Trying not to annoy people, although I guess we all have our moments.

For now, it is time for bed. I'm so tired.
