grandma's china

I broke out the "good china" this weekend for Mother's Day. I invited the family over to our house and I made some chicken pot pie. I'm not much of a cook, so I try to stick to casseroles or things I know. I've never made chicken pot pie before, but it seemed fairly safe. And it did turn out well!

Here is a picture of the china.
I'm thrilled to own it. Since my sisters were married first, I figured there wouldn't be any family heirlooms left when/if I were to marry. I'm very glad that someone saved this out of the house when Grandma died and that someone remembered to think that I might like it when I was getting married to Sweet P.

That's a very pretty pattern! I love old dishes, they have so much history.
