running in the snow

oh yes!

the first real snow of the season. granted, November is a little early. often we don't even have snow on Christmas. the real inches come in January, February, March. but we got a little snow overnight (and it is still coming, actually), and i went for a run this morning.

happiness.

the radio weather man said 27 degrees with a wind-chill of 19 degrees. i snuggled down in bed for an extra half hour debating whether i wanted to face those numbers or not. i finally decided to go for it, and i ended up wishing i had started earlier and had more time to run. it was a perfect running morning.

i need to get some winterized sneaks. running on the snow is ok with summer, mesh sneaks, but pretty soon we'll get the slush and slop and then i'll be in trouble!

it's good to have a good running day. definitely helps the overall motivation to stay in gear.
