This was a rather successful week. I'm closing in on 10 lbs lost, which feels great, mentally. I'm winning the battle with the flesh at the moment. I know not to get too cocky, lest everything fall apart. Just take everything one day at a time.
On the bright side of things, I managed to have lasagna dinner at my mom's house with ice cream for dessert, and still I was within my weekly points allotted.
The hard part this week was exercise. I still did my 3 scheduled runs, but all week I felt tired, lethargic, awful. Running was not fun, nor was anything else I had to do, really. I'm hoping this week will be better. Today was not a good run either... but I'm hoping to get through this slump and continue to reach my goals.
My sweetie finished his first semester teaching college. I think it went well. I know it was a lot of work for him. He was asked to teach the summer session as well. It's not his dream job, but it's a job. He definitely gives 110%, even though it is only about 20% of a normal paycheck. But we won't talk about that. At least there is pay involved. That is a step in the right direction.
I'm working on a new knitting project. I don't remember if I mentioned it. It's a very pretty lavender or periwinkle color. I just hope it fits when all is said and done. I hope it is as pretty in person as in the pattern book. :-) It has cables, which are fun to knit.
I'm turning over a new leaf. No more grumbling about work. Or school. I like school, but it is a lot of work and it is extra work on top of my job, which makes for a very tired rachel sometimes. At any rate, I need to have a "wholesome tongue" according to the Bible. No more grumbling. Work is just work and I need to leave it at work!
