Julie and Julia is a wonderful movie. Wonderful. I am not a foodie at all, and some of the recipes in this flick looked horrific to me, but the people are inspiring. I am not sure if the Julia Child portrayed in the movie is anything like the real Julia Child, but if so, I would have love to have known her. Julia and her husband Paul were so in love. She was so optimistic about everything. She wasn't a bulldozer, but didn't take "no" as the final answer. She kept right on trying to get her book published. Julie is having a difficult time with her job/career (I can relate), and turns to cooking and Julia Child's cookbook for a sort of therapy (maybe I should try this myself!). I loved this movie. It is a new favorite.
