2 pics to share.

Here's an interesting vehicle that was parked outside our house one day. I'm not sure how old it is, but it looks like a classic. It was just here that one weekend and we haven't seen it since.
This last photo is my mom's Christmas present. I made her a shawl/wrap type thing. It is called the Upstairs shawl. I like the pattern. I would have liked to do something a little more sophisticated like leaves. There are really beautiful shawl patterns out there, but they were too advanced for me. I finally finished this in March and presented it to Mom!
I loved this yarn. It is a mohair & silk yarn. Very soft and light, yet it should be fairly warm on cool summer evenings, such as at the farm in RI. I actually have a ball left over, I believe, so maybe I'll make a little mohair something for myself.

Currently I'm working on a scarf (basically using up left over yarns from Christmas and practicing another lace pattern. If I have enough yarn, I want to make some fingerless gloves to go with the scarf.) and a jacket. A sweater or a jacket? This is a crochet pattern, ah yes, called the Moderne Jacket. I'm doing it in a soft yellow, which will complement a few of my summer sun dresses. I'm picturing wearing this when we go out to summer music festivals. As the sun sets, I don my lovely little yellow sweater, and clap for an encore... But that all depends upon our school work this summer. We love all the art & music scene in our city, but homework has priority.

the shawl came out just lovely!! Nice job. I'm amazed at your ability!!! If only I ever get my studio space cleared out and my sewing machine unpacked, I may start to have some crafty things to share…I have no idea where my embroidery is, so I haven't gotten any further on that. we'll see.
