More Baking for the Troops

After taking a break over the holidays, I rejoined a group to bake for the troops on Operation Baking Gals. Our soldier this time was named Ben. I don't rightly know where he is stationed, other than he is overseas somewhere.

My sister came over to the house Saturday morning and we mixed and scooped and baked. Little niece E wanted to help, but mostly she just hung out and talked to us. She had a new, pink, valentine hedgehog & a pretty pink coat from Grammy & Grandpa. The grands also sent over a pan of brownies for me & sweet P. We listened to music and talked about recent events.

So, we have cowboy cookies, sugar cookies and some chocolate chips (and purple napkins) in a box, ready to mail. Unfortunately, no post office today. I'll have to mail it tomorrow! I also baked some molasses cookies, but not for the troops. Those were for sweet P. I decided I don't like baking molasses cookies, so he can just buy them from the store from now on. I'll stick to the other flavors. (molasses stinks!)

I neglected to take pictures. I especially should have broken out the camera since little niece was over, but I forgot. I'm not as sharp as the Grands in that respect. They're photo-holics. I think being a grandparent is pretty close to having a disease. They just can't help it, the way they are! (lol... I'm kidding! mostly...)
