I'm working on a dog sweater... still. It's for a big dog, and I'm frankly getting a little tired of it. But I will endure until the end. My puppy friend needs his winter sweater!! I'm sad that it is already winter, full blown, with a foot of snow, and I haven't finished this sweater! I finally finished the 2 pieces, but when I went to sew them together, I did it backwards, so I had to start over. It should be done this week. Then I need some pictures, hopefully even one with the puppy!
What else... we rearranged the living room. I like it MUCH better. I can't say the tv reception is better. There are a few stations that come in spotty now, ones that were totally absent before. But how great is a spotty station? Not great at all. Might as well be absent, IMO. What I like about the living room is now we have a u-shaped seating area. It's much friendlier looking, more conducive to conversation (should we ever decide to have company). One sofa is still covered with guitars and sheet music, but the two love-seats are accessible, and we use them both. That is an improvement. Still need some paint and carpet, but that will come in time. As will the hospitality.
Last night I was reading my magazine, and this article just made me laugh. Tears-running-down-my-face-laugh. Paul-thinks-I-must-be-psycho-laugh. Here's what is so funny.
Run Like a Dog
My dog, a shepherd mix named Cooper, doesn't care where we are or what time of day it is, or even what the weather is like. He doesn't know what his resting heart rate is and rarely bothers to wear a watch. He just loves to run. And every time he does, his face and his body telegraph one simple message: This. Is. AWESOME. I'm runningrunningrunningrunning!
The "Run Like a Dog" Workout (Including Warmup and Cooldown) Walk 8 seconds. Trot 4 seconds. Stop. Sniff. Sprint 7 seconds. Freeze. Walk 5 seconds in any direction but forward. Stare 9 seconds. Lunge at rabbit. Double back, walk 3 seconds. Urinate. Repeat six times. Collapse on rug.

There you have it. Now, go play in the snow!
